My Bucket List

My bucket list is never-ending and ever-changing. Don’t try to keep up with the numbers because, let me just tell you, it is not consistent in any way. Sometimes I go through phases in which I add new things, take others away, or change everything completely. Every time I make one new memory, I end up adding two more things on my “life to-do list”. I personally believe life should be centered around new experiences and taking chances.

This is my knock against normalcy and complacency. There are so many opportunities this great wide world has to offer. Every day that you walk and breath among the flowers in the world, there is a day for fresh adventures.

I have categorized my list into smaller sections for easy reading. Feel free to write a few down for yourself, leave suggestions for me, or simply share your experiences with what you’ve done or want to do.

Most importantly, become inspired and embrace it.

    1. What are you waiting for? Take life all for yourself! (And your family of course) 🙂 Thank you for the comment! I’m still working on it every day.

  1. Wisconsin is super pretty, wild flowers grow everywhere, and the land has hills! every time I see it, I think wow this is the stuff of movies! that’s a big last! you’re going to have tons of fun!

    1. I forget that you’re in Wisconsin! A few states I was not quite sure where to name but I want to go everywhere. That sounds absolutely lovely. Wildflowers! Thank you for the feedback Alix! I really appreciate it. Feel free to make suggestions too C: When I make my way up there, we’ll visit you!

    1. Thanks Shanna banana!
I could probably expand on my list but I’m not trying to overwhelm myself right now.
Thank you for the compliments on my writing.
I always love hearing that 🙂

  2. A woman after my own heart! I had a bucket list for this year, “7 Terrors of 2014,” or something like that. I made a list of my worst fears, and vowed conquer them one by one. I managed to swim with sharks and jump out of a plane. I got sidetracked as getting a visa to Iran proved harder than originally anticipated. Technically it’s not a “worst fear,” and it’s still on the list. It might be next spring before we get there though.

    1. I’ll have to check that out. I like that it is only seven because a short-term set of goals are just as effective as lifelong journeys. I think your idea is really unique. I want to know how swimming with sharks was! I am probably the most terrified of jumping out of a plane and I really hope I can do it when I’m on the brim of an open plane! Good luck to you and your visa plans. I’m sure you’ll do it and you’ll feel accomplished when you do! If it is a published post you have, I’m going to search for it. 🙂
I am determined to knock out most of these within 2015.

  3. i love the exciting theme of your blog, and it sounds like you have lots of exciting things planned for the future with this epic bucket list to complete!

    1. Not gonna lie, it gets exhausting at times, but it has become a current goal in my life to complete all these things with my husband. It’s just exciting to know you have something to look forward to in the future…then there’s no second guessing what you want to do on a weekend, haha. Thank you for the comment 🙂 Looking forward to reading your writings!

  4. Thanks for the follow up. 🙂 Love those flowers on you. You look lovely.
I must say, i have never seen such an elaborate and wonderful bucket list. I need to make one too. I keep on forgetting things all the time, so a list might help. 🙂 It is amazing to see that you have completed so many of them.
I envy you. Good luck with the rest. Have a nice day. Bye.

    1. Thank you for the follow and the kind words! I sat down one day and looked at about a hundred bucket lists and gathered ideas along with what I already knew I wanted to do. I’m having so much fun with it so far. It is rewarding to feel accomplished in something in your life. Feel free to use mine as inspiration. That is the point of it being there. 🙂 Thank you & you have a wonderful day.

  5. What an AMAZING and extensive bucket list. Shows how much you want to experience life in all it’s senses. Lovely Anne, thank you so much for following my blog. Sorry it has been a few days until I have had some time to have the opportunity to stop in, say hello, and take a meander around! 🙂 Looks like I am in for a treat! 🙂

    1. Thank you! I have to keep myself adding more to this list. I want to finish it but I feel as if it will be never ending because there is just so much that I want to do. No worries about time; I fully understand being busy. I hope you’re here to stay and that you enjoy all of my silly writings! Thank you again. I look forward to reading more of your writings.

      SAMI

        1. Both names you have been using works! I never use my middle name so I figured it would be nice for a user name. I didn’t know it would show up as my main name though. It’s okay though. I don’t mind, either! 🙂 I am looking forward to a new blogging friend, too. Thank you.

          SAMI

  6. Wow! Amazing and comprehensive list! and you’re making speedy progress. 😀 But I noticed you haven’t included Korea on your Asia list. True, it’s a bit under the travel radar currently, but that’s changing fast, and I personally think it’s one of the best countries in Asia to visit. You could add: Eat sannakji in Korea. Look up a video, I guarantee it’s a unique experience. 🙂

    1. Oh these are among the favorites of the comments I receive. I will most definitely add your suggestions! Unfortunately I believe I rushed the travel segment of my bucket list and I have to go back and add quite a few things. Eating sannakji looks so crazy! That must mean it’s a good idea! Haha. I would love to go to Asia. I thought it was on there. Again, like I said, I definitely need to add onto that bottom half. 🙂 If you could share any of your experiences with anything on my list as well, that you’ve already done, feel more than free to! I’d love to hear them. 🙂

    1. I am trying my best! It’s all about having fun with it instead of stressing about it, and that’s what I’m currently trying! I plan at least one new experience every week as best as possible. Not all of them are expensive so it works. I love that goal though. Thank you for the comment. 🙂 I really appreciate it!

  7. What a fabulous and detailed Bucket List! =) This makes me think of my own Bucket List and how I should start one soon for the New Year! I know you will complete everything on your list and then some! You’re on your way!

    1. Oh, what a lovely idea. I would love to read your bucket list! And thank you! I’m truly working on it. It seems like a lifetime! Heh, I suppose that’s why they’re here though.

    1. Thank you for stopping by and commenting! I love putting random experiences on my bucket list, no matter how big or small! Grape stomping was so much fun. And it’s amazing because we got to experience it for $2! It doesn’t get much better than that. They feel ridiculously squishy and this batch was COLD. Definitely wouldn’t have wanted to miss that opportunity!

      1. $2?! That’s awesome! Worth the cold feet for sure haha : ) where did you go stamping? (Is that the correct term for that…? Also just noticed I said “gramp stamping” in my first comment, def wasn’t talking about stepping on grandpas haha!)

        1. I think it would be grape “stomping” since you’re squishing them by means of stomping away. I def didn’t notice the “gramp” stamping but that sounds awful! Hahah! Poor grandpa…

    2. I didn’t even know it was on I Love Lucy until I saw it explained before I researched a place to do it. 🙂 You can just call me “Lucille Ball” ! hahah!

    1. That’s awesome! I’m trying to get as much done as possible. It’s a fun goal to have. What were your favorite on my list that I haven’t done?

      1. Well, you are doing a great job from what I can see. I would say my favorites are: Skydiving, SUP, Surfing, Sailing, White Water Rafting, Snow Boarding…oh there are so many! Did you take a look at my completed bucket list and yearly bucket lists? It’s so excited to PLAN and DO new things!
        Jessica

        1. Thank you for taking the time to look over mine, haha. I have seen your completed items. I like that you break your large list into mini lists. I can see how it would be more efficient. SUP was a blast. A lot of those you named can’t exactly be done in Florida, hahah, or else I would’ve done those too. I have to travel a little more to do surfing, white water rafting (which I did when I was younger in TN), and snow boarding. I’ve only ever seen snow once… haha! I have some work to do for sure. Your list is so impressive. I love being a “bucketlister”. I feel like that should be a thing. And congrats on your engagement/upcoming wedding! Marriage is the most fun adventure of them all. We are finally going to have our “ceremony” this year, so we have a similar goal. We planned to have a vow renewal on our fifth wedding anniversary because we couldn’t at the time when we actually got married. I reallllly want to do skydiving soon. We shall see if that happens this year. 🙂

    1. This makes me very happy to hear. Thank you for your kind words! I started making “bucketlisting” my priority and have managed to check a lot off and at times I feel as if I’m not doing enough. Thank you for reminding me that I am doing just fine and for stopping by. 🙂

  8. You’ve crossed off so many!! Congrats! 😀 We have a lot of these in common (scuba diving, skiing, sailing, rock climbing) … but good god, swimming with jellyfish?! Bikini wax?! Nooooooo! You’re much braver than I am.

    1. Ah, thank you for all the love you’ve left on my website! I appreciate it greatly, really. I am truly working on it. I made a vow to do at LEAST two new things a month. You’ve gotten in so much more traveling and your pictures are gorgeous! I love that. I’m actually terrified of the bikini wax, hahaha! The jelly fish – the only reason I’m not scared is because I read about someone else’s adventure there. If you google the Palau jelly fish, you’ll be eased too. It is a natural place for them and they just gather in Jellyfish lake. Their stingers aren’t powerful enough to harm humans. There’s a whole article on it. But yeah there is just so much to do and so much to see! I get excited just thinking about it. I really want to go skydiving but I’m also terrified. Heights are really not my friend. Especially if I’m the one doing the jumping.

  9. Hi… Thanks for following my blog… I have gone through your blogs and i just love your adventures.. and the way you’re keeping with your bucket list… good luck in accomplishing it all… Looking forward to your new adventures…

    1. You’re absolutely welcome. Thank you for following and reading through my stories. Thanks for the encouragement. I look forward to more of your adventures as well. 🙂

    1. I really hope you find a few nice items that you like! Norway sounds like a truly perfect place to visit. I would love to go there and complete as many as I can! I’m sure the opportunities are endless. I will check out the links you’ve provided!

    1. Thank you for the follow as well! I love finding fellow bucket listers to share with. I’m enjoying your posts and I’m actually impressed with yours too because you’ve done so many of the big ones!

  10. What an amazing list!!! Love this idea and am going to start one myself. I live in Oregon and can attest the falls are outstanding, on the way you will come up Vista House it is STUNNING!!! Portland and surrounding areas are beautiful and our coast is gorgeous!

    1. Thank you so much for stopping by and telling me this! I would love to read your list when you make it. I am absolutely excited to see Oregon. I can only imagine all the beautiful things to explore there. I’ll be sure to write all about it when I make it to that side of the country.

  11. What an awesome bucket list!!! I’m also working on my bucket list… and when I saw your site and your list, I became super motivated to continue working on it! You gave me wonderful ideas. Thank you! May God’s Will be ever in our favor! God Bless!
