Foodie Friday | Smashburger

Smashburger just opened a new location near us and we decided we’d give it a shot. Foodie adventures usually start based on aesthetics. The outside and signage of the restaurant appeared intriguing. We meandered in on a Friday night and it wasn’t bustling. I think we chose the perfect time.

With so many choices, I wasn’t sure I’d ever make a decision. Eventually I chose the spinach and goat cheese smashburger with buffalo seasoned fries. The food is fresh, delicious, and starts as a ball of ground beef then smashed into a patty, hence where its name originates.

The spinach and goat cheese burger came with cucumbers, spinach, goat cheese, tomato, onion & a balsamic vinaigrette. Not only was it out of the norm of what I typically eat, it felt like I was even eating healthily.

My husband chose the Buffalo and blue cheese burger with sweet potato fries. This is also known as what my first choice would have been. Buffalo everything is my favorite. The Buffalo sauce they use is Frank’s Red Hot and I could probably drink the stuff. We usually get different items on the menu if we can’t decide and then share each other’s to get the full, tasty experience.

They also carry Honest tea products. I usually choose tea as I don’t consume many sodas. The lemon tea was jaw dropping. I think I drank two large cups.
